Bitnox Technology Solutions builds software and websites, advises on technology decisions, and teaches the skills behind both.

Bitnox Technology Solutions is a Nigerian technology company with clients in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and further afield. The work divides into four: software development for businesses that have outgrown their spreadsheets, web development for companies whose website has to earn its keep, IT consulting for the decisions in between, and technology training for the people who will run all of it afterwards.

The Bitnox name also covers two other things. Bitnox Education runs the course catalogue and enrolment, and Bitnox Cleaning covers laundry and cleaning on its own domain. They are separate operations with separate teams.

Most projects start in one and end up touching a second.

- Web DevelopmentProfessional websites, online stores and customer portals that load quickly, read well on a phone and can be edited by your own team without calling us first.
- IT ConsultingTechnology advisory for organisations deciding what to build, what to replace and what to protect. You get a written plan with costs and an order of work, not a slide deck.
- Technology TrainingPractical courses in software development, data and digital skills, taught online and in person at the Bitnox Event Space. Course listings and enrolment are handled by Bitnox Education.

A value that cannot be seen in the work is a decoration. Each of these is stated as the thing you would notice if you hired us.

Innovation
We keep up with what is changing in the field and put it to use when it solves the problem in front of us. A technique chosen because it is new, rather than because it is right, is a cost the client pays for later, usually in the person who has to maintain it.

Excellence
Work leaves us when it has been run against the awkward records, the month-end rush and the phone with the cracked screen, not when it looks right in a demo. The detail is where a system earns trust or loses it, and it is checked before you see it.

Integrity
Scope, schedule and figure are written down, and the written version is the one we are held to. If a project should be smaller, or should not happen at all, we say so before the quote rather than after the invoice.

Collaboration
The people who will use the system help build it. They are asked what the day actually looks like, they see the early versions, and they are trained before launch rather than handed a manual after it. A system built around them is one they keep using.
Getting started
What the first two weeks look like
Nothing is built until the scope is written down and agreed. That is not a formality: the disagreements that end projects are almost always about something nobody put in writing.
You tell us what has to change
The problem rather than the solution. What is slow, what gets typed twice, what nobody can answer at the counter. An email or a phone call is enough to start.
We ask before we quote
Usually two conversations. Who uses the thing, what the day looks like now, what happens at month end, and what the existing data is in. This is where a project either becomes clear or turns out to be two projects.
You get a scope, a schedule and a figure
In writing, with the parts we recommend leaving to a second phase named as such. If the answer is that you should buy something rather than build it, that is what the document says.
The people
The people who will actually be on your project.
There is no account manager between you and the person doing the work. Whoever reads your brief runs the build, and it is the same person you reach when something needs changing two years on.
Where we are
Abeokuta, Nigeria
The office and the Event Space are in the same building on Lalubu Street, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta. Local work is done in person where that is useful. Remote projects run the same way as local ones: shared boards, scheduled calls and a written record of every decision, so nothing depends on who was in the room.

The same building holds the Bitnox Event Space, which seats 60 and is booked for conferences, meetings, workshops and classes.
